Welcome to IHFU!
The group services multiple fandoms, which will be listed below. Discussion is NOT limited to only these fandoms --- if there's something else that fits in with the group then it will be added, and you do not have to wait for it to be added before you can talk about it. Internet and analog horror is a growing genre with a lot of content that I have not seen or heard of yet, so go wild!
General rules and guidelines:
1. At this time, this group is only open to people aged 18 or older. We do not currently have any plans to accommodate younger users. Attempting to bypass this rule will not only get you banned when caught, but you probably won't be allowed back in even when you do turn 18.
2. This group is strictly anti-censorship in regards to fictional depictions of fictional characters. Individuals who associate with any censorship-focused group or ideology will not be tolerated.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinions and are free to like and dislike any such fanworks put out by other members of the group. Just be respectful and do not leave criticism where it was not asked for. Fanworks are shared with you, not made for you, and they are not a commercial product. If it does not suit you, scroll past and ignore.
On the other hand, some people are going to have critical opinions of things you like sometimes. Don't take it personally. Unless they make it personal.
3. All posts that could be considered 18+ in nature should still have the "18+" tag toggled on. Not every adult inherently wants to see JonAdam R34 or read about Bon doing the nonconsensual nasty to Banny.
4. Tag appropriately. A standardized tag list (for such things as specific fandoms or ships) will be created and updated as needed. Please do not put additional personal comments in your tags; the number of tags the group can maintain is limited.
5. IMPORTANT RULES PERTAINING TO RPF FANWORKS:
RPF does not fall under pro-fiction. Because of this, we have different rules for it.
At this time, we do not plan to host RPF content at all, and it is not allowed here. We don't care if you do it in your own space, as long as it's not posted here. However, there are some exceptions:
- The golden rule of RPF is to not send it to the people being written about without their consent. This is harassment, or even sexual harassment if the content is sexually explicit in nature. If found to be doing this, you will be banned from the group.
- Underage smut RPF will also result in a ban if you are found to be engaging with it outside of this group. This includes sexual depictions of individuals who are minors at the time of the work being created, as well as works that "age-down" adults into children while depicting them in a sexual scenario.
- Characters with live-action portrayals (and no other portrayals, such as in a book) will be moderated on a case-by-case basis. This pertains specifically to characters that are portrayed by a real-life underage individual who does not continue to portray the character into adulthood.
(As an example, R18 content of Mark Heathcliff is considered acceptable, as Alex Kister has made several appearances to portray his character after turning 18.)
If I tried to account for every possible nuanced situation under this rule, this post would be way too long. If you are unsure of whether or not a particular depiction of a character from a live-action series adheres to the rules, feel free to ask here as a comment; someone else might have the same question as you.
This group is currently servicing the following fandoms:
The Mandela Catalogue
Monument Mythos
Vita Carnis
The Walten Files
